    Sphere (SPH)

    The lens power for each eye. A (+) sign refers to vision correction for up close (farsightedness). A (-) sign refers to correction for seeing far away (nearsightedness).

    Cylinder (CYL)

    Refers to the lens power used to correct astigmatism. As with SPH, plus is for near‑vision astigmatism, minus for trouble seeing far away.

    Axis (AXI)

    If the prescription includes a cylinder value, it’ll also include an Axis, which indicates the orientation (between 1° and 180°) of the astigmatism.

    Add (Near addition)

    Only appears for multifocal (progressive/bifocal) prescriptions. It indicates the additional lens power necessary for near vision correction (the bottom part of a multifocal lens).

    PD

    The distance between your pupils in millimeters. If your prescription does not include a PD, please leave it at 62 for single vision. For progressives/bifocals, please provide the Near PD when applicable, otherwise you can leave it at 59.
